In this interview, Dorji shares what craft beers are and the varieties he produces. He’s been perfecting his brew over the years and his brand, Bhutanese, is now well recognised among beer enthusiasts.
Dorji is a graduate of Switzerland’s Les Roches International School of Hospitality. In 2017, he initiated one of Bhutan’s first micro-breweries under the brand name Bhutanese. Among his happiest moments, he recounts the time when he was received the “Best Brewery and Beer in Bhutan” award in 2019.
Dorji is a doting father to two children and is an avid reader who can comfortably hold a conversation around diverse topics.
