Insights: M Zahid Hossain

Zahid is the proprietor and CEO at Multitex Fashionwear, an export firm dealing in garments. He is based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Much as he is a dedicated entrepreneur, he enjoys being a community development worker by passion.

He joined his father’s business at the young age of 17 when his father was diagnosed with cancer. Two years later, his idol, his father, passed away, leaving the entire business to Zahid to handle. The initial years were a struggle as he had to single handedly run the business as well as pay off the debts his father left him. Today, he feels a sense of accomplishment when he finds that all the hard work and efforts have paid off.

Zahid is also a passionate toastmaster having served Toastmasters International in various leadership roles and continues to do so till date. In spite of his busy schedule, he makes it a point to spend ample time with his family, his lovely wide Fariha and his two daughters, Zahira and Zahiya.
