Don’t Wait To Fly….

Don’t Wait To Fly….

When did you last clean the board in this crazy race?

Some old traces of chalky scribbles are still staring in the face.

When did you last flush what you felt down memory lane?

Those marks of yesterday are still getting drenched in your rain.

When did you last stand in front of the mirror to take note?

There’s a new wrinkle just above the whisks of grey touching your coat.

When was the last time you sat with just you, and your cup of tea?

It’s been long, the biscuits in the dainty tin are no longer what they used to be.

And do you remember blue skies flirting with wispy clouds?

In that moment, there was a soft breeze rustling through your leafy shrouds.

It’s time to start afresh and give yourself another chance.

Life is but a stage and you still have a long way to go or dance.

Keep that pretty chin up and love the curve in your smile.

You have cared enough, now stop to love yourself, and stare awhile.

Life has its meandering ways that will move up and down, right or left.

Just go with the flow, you are still left with a lot, don’t feel bereft.

The one up there has been merciful and kind, he will continue to bless and love.

Take stock and flap your wings once more, you can still rise – without any push or shove.
