Body Art: Halloween Legs

The artist was inspired by Halloween and decided to indulge in some body art, on her legs in keeping with the theme! Look closely. There is a plethora of all things spooky; ghosts, skulls, monsters, witches, brooms, pumpkins et al!

Halloween, a contraction of ‘All Hallows’ evening is a celebration that is observed on 31 October. This tradition originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts. Over time, it also came to be known as All Souls Day dedicated to remembering the deceased which included saints, martyrs and the faithfully departed.

Currently, it has become a more secular event celebrated across the world. People indulge in day long fun activities like trick-or-treating, carving pumpkins into jack-o-lanterns, apple bobbing, lighting bon fires, playing pranks and hosting Halloween costume parties. Some take it a notch further by visiting haunted attractions,  sharing scary tales and watching horror movies!
