Think flowers, think red! I simply had to make this piece of mosaic art. My love for red flowers shines through these pieces of stained glass.
A piece of mosaic art is extremely time consuming and takes one to two months to make, depending on the size and intricacy of the work. A labor-intensive process, it involves basically four steps.
- Compose and design an outline.
- Manually cut mosaic tiles and stained-glass pieces to the desired shape and size, and paste them on the substrate.
- Fill in the crevices in the piece – a process called grouting.
- Polish the artwork to perfection before it can be showcased in homes or offices.
This mosaic art piece is for sale. Size is 24” x 24”. Price is available on request.
